Last post…

When I first decided to take this class I was not sure what to expect. I felt like I personally had a good handle on my social media and how to use it. The basic stuff like what not to post, keep your language clean, be careful about what you post because once you do, its out there forever and so on. Boy did I think I know it all! I was totally mistaken. There were so many things I was able to learn in this class. Such as making a social media strategy. I thought this was great because I felt like this is something that I may be called on to do if I am in this line of work once I am done in school. I thought it was great that you we also linked the assignment to a local Omaha non-profit, which is Abide. Besides all the tricks to the trade that is social media that I took away from this class was HOW TO PRESENT. I felt like that is not stressed enough in classes today. Being able to stand up and talk in front of people I believe to not only be a fantastic skill, but also to be a very important one. I thought the “how to use powerpoint” video was very funny but also very true and very useful. You can watch the entire video here. Trust me, it is worth it. Anyways, I was so happy that I took this class and it made me aware of everything that goes into social to make it successful, both personally and corporately.
